Jean’s Songwriting:
Jean wrote 8 songs in three months from October 2009 through December 2009. Many of her songs draw from her personal family heritage and the stories of the life and times in rural California and historical events in Texas and Arkansas. She writes songs about her grandfather who “rode the rails” from Arkansas to California in the Dust Bowl of the 1930”s. Her songs tell tales of loggers, farmers, hobos, Nature, Angel’s and Daisy wine. The lyrics of her songs paint pictures of stories that often get lost with the passage of time. Jean’s talent as an inspired songwriter is perfectly showcased by her creative guitar playing and heartfelt vocals.
